Paul was fond of using the image of the body as a metaphor for the Church. He uses this image in Romans 12:1-10 — our scripture reading for this Sunday: “though there are many of us, we are one body in Christ, and individually we belong to each other. We have different gifts that are consistent with God’s grace that has been given to us.” Each of us is unique.(see more)

Good Book Club | Children’s Wing, 2nd floorOur first Good Book Club of the fall is Wednesday, October 7. It kicks off with a meal in Wesley Hall at 5:30 pm. Adults are invited to stay in Wesley Hall from 6:00 – 7:30 for Dr. Elizabeth Jones’ parenting session — “Helping children work through their fears.” From 6:00-7:00 the kids will have Good Book Club in the Children’s Wing. Our theme for October is — Fear vs Faith. Each book covers some aspect of faith or of overcoming fear.
