Young Adult Ministry

There is nothing ordinary about the Young Adult Ministries  program at First United Methodist Church in downtown Fort Worth. We believe that there is a lot more to church than just worship, so we have a calendar stocked full of social events. We think that we have a responsibility to the world around us and so we’re involved in a variety of missions. We think that it’s important to relate what’s happening in the world with our faith, so we offer classes that address relevant issues. We don’t believe that there is a one size fits all young adult classroom experience, rather we encourage young adults to get involved with a group that shares similar experiences and relates on the same wavelength. Take a look at what we have to offer:

• Genesis Class—A class for engaged and young married couples with emphasis on various studies for personal growth, Biblical study, and fellowship. This class enjoys regular social events, which include dinners, parties, and sporting events. Genesis meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in room 224 of the main building.
• Journey—A class for young adults exploring their faith journeys together.  This group enjoys regular social events, which include dinners, concerts, sporting events, and weekend trips.  Journey meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in room 230 of the main building.
